The Ubuntu Live conference is coming up later this month. Ubuntu Live is a two-day O'Reilly conference leading up to OSCON 2007. Aside from the keynotes, some of the sessions I plan on attending (and covering here on this blog and at Phoronix) include the Ubuntu technical showcase, project management, collaboration in an open world, building cross-OS applications on Linux, providing your software to Ubuntu users, and Ubuntu: Mobile and Embedded Systems. On the second day will be supporting laptops in Ubuntu, exploiting parallelism with multi-core, setting Linux up for embedded cross development, opportunities for open-source appliances, and Ubuntu hardware compatibility and certification. Along with the food and drink party on Sunday, on Monday night I have been invited to a dinner and "snazzy martini-bar" with Intel. Intel will also be making a huge announcement that day :D

Unfortunately, I will only be in Portland, Oregon from Saturday (July 21) to Tuesday (July 24). I leave at midnight on Tuesday, so I will not be attending any sessions that day. I also won't be able to make it to anything at OSCON. Ah well.

Phoronix is media partners with O'Reilly for this event and you can expect plenty of coverage once the event gets underway.
