While there's still a week left in April, there are already quite a bit of articles piling up for Phoronix this May.
The Truth About AMD's Development Cycle - I am STILL waiting on the slides from ATI/AMD for this article. I hope that finally I will get them shortly in order to publish this article after about two months of waiting... For more information on this article see this Phoronix Forums thread.
AMD 8.37.x Display Driver - Well, the 8.36.5 driver was rather nonchalant but had caused quite a bit of problems for some Radeon Linux users. Will the 8.37 fglrx driver correct these problems and add new features? You'll need to wait to find out.
ECS NF650iSLIT-A - We haven't checked out any ECS EliteGroup products in a few months, but this NVIDIA nForce 650i motherboard will be one of the first motherboard reviews at Phoronix using our new testing standards.
ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Vista Edition - Last year we had reviewed the ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi motherboard, but a new revision of this motherboard has been released for Microsoft Vista support. In this review using our new testing standards we shall see how this motherboard works with the latest Linux distributions (and Solaris).
ASUS P5N-E SLI - Another NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI motherboard we have awaiting our testing is the ASUS P5N-E SLI. This motherboard looks to be very interesting and are interested and seeing how well it runs with our new tests.
NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT 256MB - As this is planned for publishing next Saturday (April 28), this isn't exactly for May but close enough. We have a passively cooled GeForce 8500GT from Gigabyte that we are currently checking out with the newly released NVIDIA 100.14.03 display drivers.
NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS - I apologize for the delay in getting the GeForce 8800 Linux numbers out, but that will finally come in May as well.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 - For some time we've been meaning on posting more Intel Core 2 Duo Linux benchmarks, but with working on the new site and being preoccupied with the Intel Xeon Clovertowns, it has been getting pushed back. However, in early May we should be delivering some benchmarks comparing the Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, Intel Pentium 4, and Intel Pentium D processors under Linux.
JavaOne San Francisco - Phoronix will be offering live coverage of Sun Microsystem's JavaOne 2007 conference in San Francisco. It should be interesting and there will be Phoronix coverage the entire week from a variety of events.
Fedora 7 - As long as no additional delays hit Fedora developers, Fedora 7 should be released toward the end of May. You can be sure that there will be plenty of Phoronix coverage.
The State of XGI Technology's Linux Drivers - Title says it all.
That's only a portion of the planned Solaris and Linux content coming out of Phoronix next month... It's going to be a very busy month.
